We are encouraging all of our jobseekers in BC to update their profiles if they're interested in providing short-term child care during this period. Registered families will be able to search for nannies and/or babysitters in their area looking for short-term work and contact them directly.
We currently have over 1,300 jobseekers actively searching for nanny/sitter work in BC.
If you're not aware of it, we also have a free section for parents to look for or advertise for a nanny share arragement. A nanny share is where two families share a nanny either splitting the nanny between their families, or having their children cared for at the same time by one nanny. This helps to cover part-time care and helps to lower the cost of childcare. Perhaps you can find a family in your area that will share their nanny with you, or perhaps you're willing to share your nanny to help out!
