Babysitter Emergency Checklist

August 18, 2014

When you leave your children with a babysitter for the evening (or anytime), it's important that they are left with all the pertinent emergency information, just in case they need it.

On our Babysitter Resources page, we provide a sample Emergency Information Sheet. You're welcome to print this off and use as-is, or just use it as a guideline to create your own. This is set up on a standard 8.5 x 11" sheet of paper, but we've also heard of families who put this info on an index card by the phone, or for the sitter's bag, so it's handy if they leave the house.

It's important to review this information regularly and update it if anything changes. We heard of one family who re-wrote this each time they had a sitter come in, so they had to physically check that each number was up-to-date.
