Nanny in Trenton, Ontario

Application: Hi there! My name is Jaiden I am a 24-year-old female. I am a very friendly, responsible, energetic, creative, trustworthy, and empathetic individual. I am fully certified in Standard First Aid and CPR C AED (2021), as well as Canadian Food Safety certified (2020). Additionally, I am double vaccinated and a non-smoker. When it comes to childcare experience, I have looked after children in both formal and informal contexts. I come from a family of four children, with two younger brothers. Growing up, I was often responsible for caring for my brothers which included keeping them occupied, making dinners, helping with homework, etc. In addition to this, my mom had a daycare business that she ran out of our home, and I was always keen on assisting her in playing with the kids and assisting with daily activities. As soon as I turned 12 years old, I got my babysitters certificate and I have consistently babysat for a multitude of families since. These families include girls and boys ages 3-12 years. Although I have since moved away from my hometown, I am still in touch with these families and children and offer my assistance when needed. The family that I assisted with the most was a single mom with a daughter who was between the ages of 6-9 when I cared for her. In addition to acting as a caregiver for the daughter, I cooked, cleaned, and occasionally assisted the mom with her business. When I was in high school, I organized and hosted a “Girls Adventure Camp” out of my home where I planned games, activities, crafts, and healthy snacks for a group of girls aged 8-11. I have always been very passionate about building healthy relationships with youth and ensuring that they have someone to lean on and trust as they navigate their way through life. Lastly, in the summer of 2017 (after graduating high school), I travelled to Lyon, France and worked as an Au Pair/Nanny for a family of three children, aged 4 (boy), 7 (girl), and 9 (boy). My most recent nannying experience was from September 2021-June 2022. I cared for a 3 year old boy in a private home in the GTA. This included spending Monday-Friday with the little, taking him to local activities, parks, forests, weekly speech language pathologist appointments, doctors/dentist appointments, visits to see Nana & Papa, and lots of fun activities at home both indoor and outdoor (arts/crafts, baking, imaginative play, puzzles, music sessions, speech related activities, etc.). My current job is in Trois-Rivières, Quebec. I am working in an elementary school as a teacher's aide. My main role is teaching English to students in grades 1-6. This has been a wonderful experience and has allowed me to improve my French language skills! However, my contract will be up at the end of May or June, and I will be moving back home to Ontario. In addition to my childcare experience, I also have experience with residential cleaning. I am open to a household helper position (helping with cleaning & tidying, meal-prep, running errands, Christmas shopping, childcare, etc.).
