Earthsong Forest School offers a natural childhood experience based on the forest school model and inspired by Waldorf education philosophy. I am a former elementary school teacher who is passionate about helping children develop holistically through complete immersion of body, mind and spirit in the explorative play that comes naturally to children. This program is offered at my home in South Windsor, with both an indoor and outdoor component, and includes explorative forest play in the nearby woods of the Ojibway Prairie Complex. Amongst other activities, we enjoy seasonal nature crafting, various creative whole-body play tasks, music & movement, gardening, yoga, and just that amazing free choice physical play in nature that children need to balance out a very structured school life each day.
