When my daughter was 3 months old I went back to school for my masters part-time in Sept 2017, then full time when she was 8 months old. Karen has been a wonderful caregiver for her when I’ve been working. She is warm and absolutely loves children and babies. She will read with her, introduce age appropriate games, go for walks, and get right down to play with her. My daughter is always happy to see her. Sometimes infants can be fussy, but Karen is very patient and rocks her to sleep and bottle feeds her, or incorporated my nursing when I was home, etc. Karen is extremely trustworthy, friendly, honest and careful. She keeps my daughter clean and happy. Despite my daughter being so young, I had no doubt that Karen was taking wonderful care of her. Karen is also punctual, was flexible with her schedule when I needed it, a great cook, and helps out with laundry and tidying which is wonderful. She lets me know if anything comes up during the day that I may want to know, and she keeps a diary of food/how the day has gone. She incorporates right away any suggestions I have. She keeps in touch during the day as I’ve requested, which I appreciate (sending pictures when my daughter is being cute, too). Karen is also great with my first child, too: my hyper ten year old dog ;-) I am moving cities which is why I will no longer be needing Karen’s excellent services. She is professional, organized, and I highly recommend her.

Karen has been taking care of my youngest daughter since she was a newborn. I am self employed and had to go back to work only a few short months after my delivery. I am so thankful to have had Karen as a nanny to my youngest. She is incredibly trustworthy, honest and treats my kids like her own. She made sure to engage my daughter in educational activities, including reading her books, teaching her songs, taking her to the park and much more. When I came home from work, my daughter was always clean, well-fed, well-rested and happy. She also helped me around the house with meal prep, cleaning and laundry. She was very flexible and always accommodated my crazy schedule. I am truly thankful to have had her support. Any family would be lucky to have her as their nanny.

Karen watched over my daughter part time for over ten months when she was just over a year old because I was going back to graduate school. She is a trustworthy person and caring nanny who routinely makes my little one feel special. Karen makes sure she is always the centre of attention. She has always been conscious of the kinds of games and activities that stimulate and entertain my daughter. For instance, she planned dance parties, read her tons of books, taught her to build train sets, had painting days, soccer days, cooking sessions, and spent lots of time outdoors with her in our backyard. Karen also helped us make excellent progress potty training my daughter and took great pains to make sure she was always clean. We are very grateful for her generosity and help.

She plans a wide range of activities depending on the child's age, and consistently follows them to be effective. She is always thinking ahead about what can be done next depending on child's development stage. Karen puts lots of effort towards 'learning', using books, pictures, sounds, painting, alphabet, and other activities. Child's safety is her first priority. Karen also puts lots of effort on maintaining a happy spirit around children, which involves music, dancing, laughing, and playing. Here are a few other qualities Karen brings with her: - She speaks multiple languages which can impact child's learning. - She has familiarity with first aid for children. - She cooks very well. - She pays attention to cleanliness. - She closely follows what is asked of her. - She is flexible with her schedule, and performing other activities in addition to a caregiver responsibilities.
