Dear Prospective Families, Based on my experience, I\'ve learned that safety is the primary concern in giving child care and that this could not be accomplished without the necessary knowledge, skills, attitude, and common sense. Furthermore, incorporating and promoting independence are also necessary in giving care for these individuals. These insights if given the chance would manifest into actions by showing my capabilities in performance of my duties as a child sitter with utmost reverend and care. I am a nurse by profession in my country the Philippines. In my nursing practice, I was trained as a NARS (Nurse Assigned in Rural Areas) for about a year. Having trained as such, I acquired my professional competencies in different fields of nursing particularly in Child Care. I am therefore considering these as my relevant skills in applying as a child sitter.
