Nanny in Toronto, Ontario

September 27, 2016 Hi, my name is Jacqueline, but I prefer to be called Jacquie. I will include my LinkedIn profile for you to get an idea of who I am. Update: I live in North York off the Yonge line. I am available on weekends, or if absolutely needed I can be in the evening, but I work until 4pm then I am free. I have three pets and live with my bf. I was a nanny for 7 Months for my cousin's three children (two young children ages 3 & 4 and 1 infant). The previous year, my niece was born and I helped with her because my older brother and I had moved in together to attend school, so I told him that his family can move in with us, which they did for 6 months. I love being around children; seeing them grow gives me great satisfaction. I especially love babies, I have been very good with children since a young age because I have a younger brother that is 8 years younger than myself. My skills have been carried through into my adult years. I enjoy caring for children and infants on a personal level, unlike in a classroom. I am no longer needed full-time for my cousin’s family, so I am pursuing other avenues that are similar to the opportunities that I was given. During my time as a nanny we did many activities together such as, crafts, reading, learning with cards, singing, going to the beach, walks on the board walk, shopping for children’s clothes, grocery shopping for the family, spending days/evenings at splash pads, and planning/attending social gatherings such as birthdays and baby showers. I was also a part of bringing the two toddlers to and from daycare, while I had the baby during the day and some evenings/night when the parents wanted time to themselves. I was very flexible with them and we had a good working relationship that was easy to work with. Some of my duties as a Nanny was to cook, clean, bathe, tend to the children’s needs and emotional well-being, feed the children nutritious meals, discipline the children according to the parent’s methods, do laundry, and dress the children accordingly. I am caring, calm, easy-going, friendly, respectful, trustworthy, creative, and reliable. I have been told that I am a great nanny and that I should pursue a career in ECE. Currently, I work as a full time welder, but I am looking for a part time job on weekends or evenings during the week.
