Nanny in Vancouver, British Columbia

Hello! My name is julia. I am a Canadian, born and raised in Vancouver. I speak fluent French as I attended the French school system in New-Caledonia (a french colony) as well as attending a francophone school here in Vancouver. If your child is enrolled in French Immersion or will be enrolling in French immersion, I can help both with homework, as well as by speaking with them in French outside of the structured classroom setting. I have always adored kids. As early as twelve I began babysitting. I looked after kids all throughout high school and I worked in summer camps during the summers. It is something that I have always genuinely enjoyed doing, and perhaps because of this, it has always felt second nature to me. Upon graduating high school many years ago, I began volunteering at the West Side Montessori Academy in Vancouver. I acted as a teachers aid with the elementary school kids as well as in the preschool with the little ones aged two to four. I soon secured a paid position as the after school care coordinator. About a year ago, I decided I really wanted to do work that I found to be engaging and meaningful, and for me, that meant working with children in some capacity. I made a profile on this site and met a really incredible family who I currently nanny for on a part time basis. I care for their two year old daughter and, when need be, their six month old infant as well. I absolutely adore these two little ones and I enjoy my work as a nanny. I am currently searching for another family with whom I would mesh well to enable me to nanny on a full time basis. Regardless of your childrens ages I would, of course, also help keep your house clean, and prepare snacks and meals for your kids, following their individual dietary needs.
