My name is Dana, I am a supply teacher for the OCDSB and am currently in search for summer employment working with children. I am cheerful, love to work with people and have strong interpersonal skills. Having worked as a teacher and Canoe Camp Coordinator I have developed strong programming and planning skills and I will ensure your kids are always engaged through planning crafts, outdoor activities and excursions. Working as a teacher as well as lifeguard, I realize that safety is the number one priority when working with children. I have experience preventing dangerous situations by being aware of risks and addressing them before a situation occurs. Should a problem arise, I am quick thinking and will use my problem solving skills to develop solutions in a calm manor. My approach to child care is to provide a positive, nurturing environment where the children are comfortable to be themselves. I am firm and fair, and willing follow through with consequences when needed.
