Nanny in Toronto, Ontario

Hello! My name is Katie Allmen and I am currently a 21-year old, fourth year McMaster student studying Communications. I am looking to find some good families to work with as a babysitter or part-time nanny with children of all ages. I am available to work in both Hamilton and Toronto as I volunteer at a kindergarten in Toronto once a week, though am a full time student in Hamilton. I have been lucky enough to work primarily with children throughout my work experience thus far. I've worked as a swim instructor and swim camp counsellor for 5 years now. As well, I have been babysitting since the age of 12 for various families around my neighbourhood and was a full time nanny for May and June of 2015/201.... Once I've completed my undergraduate degree, I plan on taking a few years off travelling and teaching abroad, and then venturing into teachers college with the aim to teach primary ages. I have experience working with children with developmental disabilities. As well as my work with kids, I also have a keen interest in working with animals and am up for any pet care needs you may have. I have a yellow lab who is a knucklehead but a large part of my life as I take primary care of him when I am at my parents house in Toronto. I have worked with animals in the past as a temporary pet-sitter as well as house-sitter. I am very interested in working with younger children, however am able to and have experience working with people of all ages. I am extremely interested in art of all kinds and am quite skilled when it comes to children's crafts. Throughout my time as a camp counsellor as well as now volunteering at a kindergarten, running crafts and activities has been my primary job requirement and one that I quite enjoy. My opportunity working in kindergarten has also helped shape my skills in terms of helping children with their homework and learning abilities.
