Hi there, my name is Ela . I have provided home child-care to several families of different backgrounds for the past nine years. The children that I have cared for ranged from few months old, toddlers and 7-9 year old's. My responsibilities included receiving the children from the school bus, bathing, cleaning and putting on a fresh change of clothes, feeding snack or dinner, naptime, playtime, and homework time. I also prepared fresh vegetarian meals for the children and for the families if required. I am comfortable with preparing Gujarati food, as well as some Punjabi, South Indian and Mexican vegetarian food and generally can quickly learn other cuisines or food items. I have also worked at an Elementary school in Charlotte, North Carolina as a special needs teacher assistant for six years until mid-2019. As a teacher assistant, I was trained by the school system to care for pre-K and kindergarten children who had special needs such as wheelchair, stander, walker, AFO, catheterize, g-tube feeding. The training included First-Aid & CPR (USA), playground safety, providing care & comfort to children on the autistic spectrum, etc.
