Nanny in Sun Peaks, British Columbia

Hi! My name is Gillian, and I grew up on a farm in Chilliwack, B.C. I recently completed my BA in Psychology and Criminal Justice at the University of the Fraser Valley, and will eventually apply for clinical psychology or neuroscience. I recently moved up to Sun Peaks, B.C. as it has always been a dream of mine to live on this mountain. I would love to find a local family who needs some assistance with their kiddos (human and/or canine)! I adore children, and have a lifetime of experience caring for and spending time with young children. I am an auntie to 4 kids, and have been babysitting since I was 10. My responsibilities would include keeping the kids busy, preparing meals, bathing, helping with homework, and general care. I was also a dance teacher for several years. As an experienced A average university student, I am also more than happy to help kids with any academic or developmental needs. My background in psychology makes me a wonderful candidate for children with unique needs or for parents who just want to give their child more opportunity to better themselves in areas they might struggle with. I am very passionate about cooking, the outdoors, and healthy living. I recently travelled throughout South East Asia for six months, where I completed my 200 hour Yoga teacher training and climbed the Annapurna circuit in Nepal. I am a very responsible, outgoing, patient, happy, creative, and empathetic person and have a passion for helping others. Not only do I work with maternal and caring instincts, but I can also provide kids with delicious meals, positive energy, and plenty of exciting activities like hikes, lake days, snowboarding in the winter, arts and crafts, and more creative fun in or outside of the home.
