FT/PT/Occasional I am passionate about supporting children to have the confidence to explore and learn about the world and themselves, while in my care. Spending time outdoors with your child is a priority for me, as there is so much benefit to connection with the natural world. I approach childcare with child-led, nature-based, risky-play, emotionally intelligent, and physically present values, with my entire focus available to the child when I am in your home. I have very recently (April 2024) relocated to Victoria, Colwood area, from the Comox Valley, where I lived and worked in the outdoor education and childcare industries for over 6 years. I have 2023 updated Responsible Adult, Childcare First Aid, and food-safe. I am trained as an Adventure Guide (2019) and have worked with big and small groups of children and adults in various summer camps and guided activity settings. I have nannied for a few families over the past 10 years and am excited to pursue private childcare once again. My ideal position would be FT or PT with a toddler or two, who are stepping into their own personality's, and a family who is mindful, active, healthy, and flexible. Open to children 0-10yo. My most recent position was as an inclusion support worker at a private hobby-farm nature learning preschool in Comox, as well as casual and seasonal positions with various Nature Schools in the Comox Valley. My pastimes include gardening, foraging, healthy cooking, crafting, fresh water swimming, yoga, photography and trying new activities or experiences as much as possible!
