Nanny in Vancouver, British Columbia

I'm an
Individual
Hi there! My name is Tayla and I have just recently moved here from my home country of New Zealand. I am currently very happily working as a live in Au Pair for an amazing family in UBC/West Vancouver 4 days of the week. I’m hoping to find a family who needs a little extra help on a Friday to fit perfectly with both of our schedules. Before I moved here to work as an Au Pair, I co-managed a Swim School where I also worked as a Swim Instructor and an Aquatic Fitness Instructor. I specialised and have the most training and NZ qualifications in early childhood swimming or ‘water baby lessons’. Although my qualifications are swimming based, the majority of the context was regarding early childhood development and I greatly use this knowledge in my day to day work as an Au Pair... (on land). I taught from 6months- adults so have experience in working with children of all ages, and have cared for a variety of different aged children over the years through Nannying at home or through babysitting. I consider myself to be quite flexible and easy going (as most ‘Kiwis’ are) and have no problem adjusting to new situations and in this case- new family life. I have some training and experience in working with children with physical and mental disabilities, specifically those on the spectrum. I also have my NZ basic First Aid and CPR certificates and also my American Red Cross First Aid, from when I worked at a summer camp as a camp counsellor last year. I consider myself to be a bubbly and outgoing girl with a love for the outdoors and learning from children. I pride myself in my ability to bond with children of all ages, and have fun while still maintaining a safe environment. I do not have my Canadian licence and do NOT drive with passengers (personal preference) so I may not be the best fit for your family is driving is required. Luckily, public transport here has become my best friend and I am happy to travel to you if need be. I have some letters of recommendations available and references are available on request. I am lucky enough to be here on a 2 year working holiday visa and I only 1 month in, I am planning on being in Vancouver long term. If my profile is ticking some of the boxes for you and your family, please get in contact with me! Thank you for reading through my profile and I look forward to hearing from you!
