Nannies in Canada who have experience with preteen teenager

Hello prospective families, my name is Shelley and I am a 47 years young professional who has dedicated over 20 years of my life to working with children and their families, with the last 13 years solely focused on Nannying/Household Management. It is that time again, when I find myself having to seek employment with a new family. I have had the privilege of working with absolutely wonderful families over many years. Sadly though for all parties involved, the time comes in every position when my services are no longer required. So with this I add another family to my growing heart as I move forward with hope of new adventures to be had and memories to be made with another amazing family. I have been very fortunate, to have worked with children of all ages right from infancy up to school aged children (grades one through six), both in the public and private sectors of childcare (daycares, both public and my own home based daycare, school board, privately funded programs and private homes). I have gained vast experience/knowledge with a variety of different children/situations (multiples, special needs and both small and large groups, 15 children). I consider it both an honour and a privilege to be able to work with children. To be a part of their growth and development is an extremely rewarding passion of mine and something I take very seriously. As a mother myself of a fine young man, who is now 26, I know firsthand just how important it is to provide a happy, healthy and safe home environment for your child/children to grow and learn in. As a professional, this is exactly what I aim to achieve, providing parents with peace of mind knowing that their loved ones, as well as, their home are well cared for and in very good hands in their absence. My belief is that a Nanny is very much an extension of the family unit and I am confident that with my experience and ability as a childminder, I can be a valuable asset to any family dynamic. I am ECE certified and I have current first aid and CPR training, as well as a current criminal record/vulnerable sector check. I am a licensed driver and I do own a safe, reliable vehicle so transportation to and from work is not an issue. Resume and references available upon request.
