Hey there families, I'm Wilder; I'm 26 and use He/Him pronouns. I'm in the Bachelors of Athletic and Exercise Therapy program at Camosun in Victoria, BC. I’m looking for a full-time childcare position through the summer between my semesters. My availability is May 1 - September 1. I'm eager to share my fondness of the outdoors with some kiddos this year. As a person who identifies as trans-masculine, it's important to me that I connect with a family that is queer-inclusive and ethically minded on these social issues. I'd love to support your family through this in any way I can. Through this site I currently have a casual position caring for two 5-year-olds. And I’ve worked with a 9-month old who recently transitioned to day care, and another 5 year old. I also have five nieces and nephews, and twin 10-year old (adopted) brothers so I'm very comfortable working with multiple children. I am familiar with adjusting to specific needs including neurodivergence, disability, allergies, etc. My criminal record check and CPR/First Aid are up to date. Between my experience as a nanny, as an aunt-turned-uncle, and as a big brother, I know I will be a great fit for a new family! I'm comfortable with driving children, changing diapers, helping with homework and housework, etc. A little bit about me: Years ago I went to North Island College in Courtenay and took the Adventure Guiding Certificate program where I became a certified white water rafting guide and sea kayak guide! Since then I've traveled to around 18 countries, worked in the wilderness guiding industry in a variety of roles, gone back to college, and managed the new ZipTour on Mount Washington Alpine Resort. My past-times include a wide variety of creative and athletic endeavors: writing, music, hockey, climbing, snowboarding, surfing, paddling and time with my dog.
