I am a very compassionate, patient, loving and kind person. I want to become a nanny to move from group care to a more individualized approach to childcare. My rate for care is a little higher only because I am a registered and educated Early Childhood Educator, willing to provide the best care possible to your child. I want to be more than just a nanny - I want to be your child's teacher, nurturer, and friend. Do you want to pay a smaller salary for a mediocre nanny, or a bit more for someone with experience, education and passion? I hope we can have a very special and lasting relationship together! I have experience as a babysitter for numerous families in my neighbourhood from the time I was about 11-19. I cared for family sizes up to 3 children, and worked with children ages 1-6. In this role I provided fun activities for the children, took them on outings such as libraries, play dates, museums, art galleries, etc. I also fed pre-prepared meals and snacks to the children, as well as put them to bed at night. I loved my work with children so much that I decided to become an early childhood educator. I went to Humber College where I earned grades at the top of my class, won awards, as well as received a President's Letter for high academic achievement. I have 5 years experience since graduating working directly as an ECE in the childcare field, working with children from Toddler age to Kindergarten. In my role as an ECE I planned and prepared stimulating activities for children in the various age groups. Currently I am in a Kindergarten class delivering an enriched program to 4 and 5 year old children. I teach the children letters/sounds through the Jolly Phonics program, prepare a play based program that focuses on all key areas of children's development. I am a firm believer in children learning through play, nature, art, books, and following their interests!
