Hello parents, My name is Jennifer, I am 35 year old fun loving professional Nanny and artist and I grew up in Vancouver, Canada. I am looking for a family who wants someone with experience in childcare. I love spending time with children and having fun with them. After spending some time with your child/ren and figuring out what their interests are, I like to offer support and encouragement so they can thrive and feel empowered. Each child I work with is unique, I take time to develop a relationship while observing their strengths so I can cater to what I feel they seem to be the most interested in. Some children, for example, love to be very physically active while others prefer puzzles and books, there has never been one child like the other and its fun to give them lots of exposure and see what calls out to them the most. I have a Bachelor in Education and have been a private caregiver for 10 years. During those years I have cared for children as young as 4-months of age to 15 years old, as a nanny, as well as teenagers and young adults as a private tutor and ESL teacher. This job was very challenging and taught me a lot about caring for a child with special needs, developing an acute sense of intuition for children who are non-verbal and suffering from pain and anxiety. Due to Max going through a difficult surgery and recovery at the hospital I had to really step in and be there for the other children as a main support person, especially while the parents attended to their son at the hospital.
