Hi my name is Sierra. I am a student of Public Affairs at Carleton University and a former International Baccalaureate Diploma Program graduate. I am creative, active and professional. I\\\'ve been working with children my whole life, being a sister of 3 younger siblings, and this exposure developed into a passion. I started babysitting at 10 years old because I was already responsible and knowledgeable. I passed my St.Johns Ambulance childcare course with a rare perfect score and always strive to go above and beyond with my clients. Many of my former employers kept me for so long that I literally got to watch their children grow up before my eyes. I think children are much more intelligent and capable than many people give them credit for and I love being able to connect with and further their untapped talents. I\\\'m currently looking for employment for Summer 2013 in Toronto or for September onward in Ottawa. -Babysitter for 8 years: cooked meals, took children to and from school, activities and other venues and appointments, helped with school work and projects, cleaned (dishes, toys, floors), assisted with hygiene activities, cared for pets (walking, feeding), over 25 regular repeat clients, children ages 2-14 -French Tutor: read in french, proofed assignments, worked on spelling and grammar with kids aged 6-13 -Sunday School Teacher (Toddlers): oversaw up to 20 children between the ages of 18 months and 3 years, planned activities, read stories and ensured safety. -Party Planning Assistant: assisted with various childrens parties and events alongside a professional party planner. -Older sister to 3 siblings who I have been looking after since I was 10 years old.
