*** UPDATE: I am looking for a family to join in May 2023-July 2023**** Hi there ! My name is Brittany and I am looking for work starting at the beginning of May 2023. I have recently received my Diploma in Early Childhood Education, and will have graduated Carleton University for a Bachelor of Arts and a Major in Child and Youth Studies by April 2023, and entering a Graduate degree in Women and Gender Studies come September 2023. In both my college education and university education, I have gained insight understanding how to support children and youth in their lives. In my early childhood diploma I have learned how to create activities that best suit the interest of the child and their development. In my degree I have gained a better understanding in children and youth within our social systems and how to support them as they enter the world and navigate through it. Complimentary to my education, I have a wide range of experience working with children of all ages. I have 3 years of experience working as an Educators Assistant at a Montessori School in a toddler program (18 months- 3 years). I have also had the chance to work within an infant program, in which I had learned about an infant's early development and activities that can further encourage a healthy development. Alongside my experience in standard daycare setting, I also have experience as a nanny. I have worked with four families since 2020. My most recent experience was working with a mother and an infant who was 3 months old. When this child turned 1, I did a nanny share with their family, where I cared for two 1 years from April-August 2022. I then continued with one of the children up until January 2023. My preference to work with new parents and their infant. I enjoy helping parents navigate through parenthood and sharing my knowledge with them.
