Nanny in Toronto, Ontario

I'm an
Individual
To you, Hello! If you’re reading this, I hope that I might meet you and your family soon. I am a theatre artist, originally from the Ottawa Valley. In the past, I have taught co-curricular programming in elementary schools all over Toronto with Explore It! Inc, run playgroups for Children’s Resources on Wheels, in Smiths Falls, ON, worked as a counsellor for Ryerson University's PYC Summer Programs coaching and directing kids in performance arts skills, and worked as a counsellor at Blue Skies Kids Camp teaching kids Improv. I have been providing care in various private homes for over a decade. I have a deep sense of responsibility and am very competent and honest. I love doing crafts with kids, playing and exploring outside with them, cooking, reading, singing, and learning from your child about their favourite pastimes and interests. In every aspect of the care I provide for children, I keep in mind the goal to help them grow into independent, empathetic people. It is a priority of mine that your child feels listened to and empowered in their interactions with me, and in turn learns what it means to listen to and support those around them. I can provide a nutritious vegan, vegetarian, or gluten-free diet for your child, and have extensive experience teaching children how to cook. I also have a full driver’s license, and am very capable with stick-shift cars. My favourite places to be are in the garden, curled up by a window with a book, or camping by a lake. I like sewing, painting, yoga, cycling, writing, and running. I graduated from the University of Windsor in 2016 with a B.F.A. in Acting, and have toured musicals for young audiences through elementary schools with Education Arts Canada. If you would like references from families that I have worked with in the past, please let me know, and I would be glad to put you in contact with them. I would love to be a part of your family’s support system, and will contribute my very best effort to your child’s experience being healthy and happy. All my biggest well wishes to you, Robin they/she

Robin first worked with my husband at the University of Windsor while earning her degree. He thought so highly of her professionalism and positive nature that he suggested hiring her to take care of our two daughters at home, and we were delighted when she enthusiastically agreed. Robin bonded with my children immediately. She has a natural ability to tune in and be fully present and responsive, and it is clear how she genuinely enjoys their company as much as they enjoy hers. My daughters always look forward to her visits, and my husband and I enjoy evenings out with confidence that our children will adhere to household rules and routines and be safe under her expert care. Robin's infectious smile and warmth has made her feel part of the family, and I have personally enjoyed her company, whether chatting long after the kids have gone to bed, or attending theatre together. I am so happy for the family that is lucky enough to have Robin as a caregiver.
