I recently completed my Early Childhood Educator Diploma, but have been working with families and children for over 15 years. I also have training in infant mental health. I love my work and will continue to work with the TDSB in September. I am looking for some hours of work in child care during the summer. I am available from 9:30 to about 4:00 as I have a my own child in summer camp. I have excellent references and am very good with young children and infants. I also have some experience in working with children with special needs. In addition I offer tutoring in reading and writing to Junior Kindergarten - Grade 1 level children who might need some extra support. My approach is play-based and makes learning fun. Trips to the library, finding letters in nature, writing with sticks in the sand or in shaving cream, are just some of the activities I would be doing with your child. Two hours would include more play time They will need frequent fun and snack breaks.
