PLEASE NOTE: This position is for an EXPERIENCE PAEDIATRIC NURSE (Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse), preferably with paediatric experience. Our client is looking for part-time caregiver to join their family support team. They are looking for an experienced paediatric nurse nanny/care provider, whose passion is caring for children who require specialized care, to assist with their 2½-year-old son who has several ongoing medical challenges with seizures, feeding, airway, and mobility. Physically, he is a big, active, demanding toddler, and developmentally he is a 6-7 month-old baby, who still has most of the same care and interactive needs. Dad is the primary caregiver and Mom works full-time from home while managing the rest of a busy household with two teenage daughters. They are seeking an extra set of hands to allow for a more balanced life. Training and familiarizing with this family's unique needs is anticipated and both parents will be there every step along the way, as necessary, until wholly comfortable with the integrations and care practices. This care position will grow with the family and become part of their family over time. Part-Time Position (12-20 hours per week) Hourly wage: $50 Flexible/Split schedule based on joint custody arrangements Typically, 3-4 hour shifts – early morning (5 am – 9 am)/ mid-morning (11 am- 3 pm) /early evening (5-8 pm) May include some rotating nights, weekends, family vacations away from home Some flexibility – grow together as an extended family Medical Overview:Refractory Seizures and Developmental Delay (6-7mo old adjusted) / Positional Support / Feeding / Medication / Airway ManagementLocation: This position is located in Victoria, BC.
