My diverse personality and breadth of interests are what make my services unique. If allowed, my care giving is more consistent with a summer camp with the benefits of a knowledgeable teacher. I would intend on scheduling time for refreshing curriculum knowledge to jump start their next grade level at school, as well as providing kids with a safe and fun outlet for their enormous amount of energy. Having spent many years on and off caring for children over the age of 6 months up to the age of 17, I have experience that provides me with the capabilities of suiting the needs of each child whatever their age or maturity. I have daily experience with special needs children, and those with learning disabilities, or other social support needs in the schools I teach at, as well as from past positions as a care-giver. I have also provided tutoring services to students over the years, and have had training and experiences with confidence building and leadership training. I am a capable cook and housekeeper, and enjoy engaging children in activities designed to enhance their experiences of the world around them while having fun in a positive environment. I have also had a great deal of experience in dealing with grief and loss, and would be an excellent support person for a child who is going through the stresses of losing a parent, sibling or other close relation. Having been through many of those experiences myself, I will relate well to their emotions and will be able to provide compassionate guidance in the absence of a primary caregiver.
