Hi there, my name is Christine and I am a young, caring, and patient individual who is in school pursuing a career working with children. I am 21 years old and am in my fourth year of studies at Brock University in St. Catharines to obtain a Bachelor of Arts in Child and Youth Studies and a Bachelor of Education at the primary/junior level. I have a passion for educating, being with children, and enriching their lives in every way possible. I have been a camp counselor, program leader for children, a volunteer teacher, and a babysitter for many families and children in the St. Catharines, Niagara, and Muskoka area over the past 8 years with children of all ages including newborns, toddlers, and school-age. For the past 4 years, I have focused my work on children who have special needs, while also working with typically developing children. I have vast knowledge both from my studies and practical experience working with children both who have exceptionalities and those who don\'t and can apply them to new situations and individuals. I have also worked with children who have problem behaviors, and have obtained many strategies on how to deal with children of all ages and temperaments. The duties that I have had other than primarily working with children include: picking up and dropping off of children at school and other activities, light housekeeping, overnight sitting, picking up groceries and other errands, cooking, and excursions.
