Hi! My name is Sarah and I am an enthusiastic Teacher looking for summer work employment. I have a wide range of experience working with children of all ages I have always enjoyed working with children and have spent the last ten years building my resume in preparation for a career as a teacher. Throughout High School and University I had the opportunity to work as a camp counselor and lifeguard at a Sports Camp in Sundridge Ontario. Throughout the summer months I provided 24 hour care to campers of all ages, taught swimming and kayaking lessons and played a vital role in the leadership aspect of the camp. While at camp I also had the unique opportunity to work with children with special needs such as hearing impairment, Autism, Down syndrome and motor impairments that have encouraged me to pursue a career in Special Education. Since High School I have also worked as a babysitter to a number of families in the Halton area and have experience working with infants to pre-teen youth. Having access to my own vehicle I was able to plan day trips to local parks and festivals, drop and pick up children at various pre-planned activities and run errands for families. Over the past year I have been working as an Occasional Teacher for Halton District School Board with the hope that I will have my own classroom in the next few years. Supplying has also provided me with the opportunity to work with children of all ages (Kindergarten to Grade Eight) and academic abilities.
