I have a passion for helping others, and enjoy spending time with children. I have been watching over the well-being of children for many years. I started out babysitting for family, and realized that I loved it. So I began babysitting for others whenever I could. I took a child care course in 2002, so I could gain further knowledge and preform better at my job. Eventually I began working a church camp and took the Leader In Training program at their facility so I could work with children all summer long. I was responsible for the well being, cooking and serving meals, cleaning, playtime, and bedtime of anywhere between 5 to 10 children. During my work period at Huron Church Camp, I was also a part of the one-to-one care provider for the disabled. I would work with children who had disabilities so they could also have a fun time while at camp. Since then I have received my degree in child psychology, and have worked in various group homes to try and help improve the lives of children. It is such an honour to have the trust of their parents, and to know that they a relying on you to make such their children and safe and well cared for.
