Nanny in Victoria, British Columbia

Hi! My name is Erika and I am a 29-year-old woman who feels so very lucky to live in this beautiful area we call home! I am hoping to find the right family, where we are able to connect and communicate as I offer care to your family and home and hopefully become a loving part of it in my time spent with you and yours! About me: I consider myself a pretty soft person. It feels a little strange to try and project myself, but I am a kind person and most would probably call me sweet. I am accepting, thoughtful and open minded. I have a deep love for nature, for animals, for my family and my friends. I love to be outdoors, to make art (I am currently learning how to silversmith jewelry!), to explore music, to read. I have about 80 house plants, and I love tending to them and decorating and caring for my home. It brings me joy to nest, and to feel warm and well in my nest. My home is a point of pride for me. At present I am working at a local non-profit that helps women in the community. I love and believe in what we do, however my role in the workplace is very physical and I am looking to find work that still has heartful impact, but involves moving less furniture/is a bit gentler on my (able) body. I've been wondering what that transition might look like, in to something that still helps the community. And so, here I am! I am hoping to find a family to connect with and facilitate a loving, positive bond. While I do not yet have experience as a Nanny, I used to babysit for a handful of families when I was in high school (from toddlers to teens), and I truly enjoyed it. More recently, I would sometimes sit for my friend who is a young mother with two boys so that she was sure to take some time for herself. Her boys were ~1 and ~3 at the time of this (when I lived in Edmonton). I’m happy to help with cleaning and chores, and to get involved in any learning or activities that interest you and yours. I am truly an animal lover, and have experience both personally and in the workplace with animal care should you also have four legged family members. Ultimately, I feel confident in my ability to step in to this role, but I am happy to take any guidance that you may wish to give. I also have my drivers license (with a clean abstract) and share a car with my partner. I am looking for a live-out agreement, and I am open to part or full time positions -- most important to me, is just finding the right fit!
