Nanny in East York, Ontario

Hi this is Jennifer (Jenn) I have been a child caregiver for about 20 years. I love working with kids and help them become amazing "bigger" kids as they grow and learn new things. I am a very big family oriented person and love to be able to take my nieces for a "date" often. I am experienced in working with children from all ages and enjoy the different challenges and experiences that come with it. Over the years I have been privileged to be apart of some truly incredible families, some of which I now can call my friends, I have been lucky enough to see some of the kids grow from the 1st day in kindergarten to graduating from high school and beyond. I have my CPR and child first aid and I have my vulnerable sector criminal check that was completed less than a year ago. In my free time I love to spend time with friends and family, I am a big reader and I love to cook and bake. I also volunteer with two organizations which I am very passionate about---one is a Mental Health awareness and advocacy foundation (and so much more) called Sashbear---two is a member of the Youth Justice volunteer department in the East end of Toronto. I have my Diploma in Community Services Worker (Social work) and I would love the opportunity to still work with kids as it has always been a passion of mine. I have helped with homework, Teaching the younger ones how to recognize the alphabet and numbers, help Teach the children about proper hygiene and all around good health. I also prepared family dinners every night and would make sure the children's laundry was done as well as keeping the kitchen and play areas tidy, including sweeping floors when needed. I have had times where I have been in sole care of up to 4 children on my own for up to a week while the parents were away, and I also spent 2 weeks at a time with a few families alone at the cottage with the kids while parents would be working and only coming up on the weekends. I would plan playdates and would also host "neighborhood" parties with the kids (which is so much fun) and also have field trips all over the city.
