Nanny in Ottawa, Ontario

Hi there! My name is Serena, and I'm a College Graduate and Dean’s Honour Roll recipient of the Early Childhood Education program here in Ottawa. I have almost 8 years of professional experience working with children of all ages, from teaching sailing, to elementary school, to also preschool. Along with my various experience, I'm also registered with the College of Early Childhood Educators, making me an RECE (Registered Early Childhood Educator). I also have done multiple work shops on child development and how to teach children to learn though play. My most recent job experience includes working at Andrew Fleck Children's Services, teaching 24 preschoolers. I use the children’s interests to do an array of activities such as science experiments, gross motor activities, and guided free time to expand upon children's natural curiosity to keep them interested and engaged while learning through play. My biggest goals when working with children are to help them become self-motivated, gain self-esteem/awareness, enrich their vocabulary, learn to love learning, and, obviously, to have fun! I'm looking for part-time nannying and babysitting positions. I teach preschool during the day, so I'm free in the evenings on weekdays and any time on weekends.
