My name is Yara Dos Santos My have extensive experience working with infants to school age children, children with special needs, and children with developmental disabilities in any setting. I also have excellent communication skills in dealing with children and with parents. During my more than 5 years’ work experience in childcare setting, I have acquired a number of skills that are important to the job. For example, in my last placement position I was able to develop a curriculum and implement them as appropriate to the children involved; which I loved doing because that was a way to gauge a child’s learning. I have also had the opportunity of facilitating several after school programs which has instilled in me the ability and experience to look after their needs including emotional needs/ psychological needs (helping them deal with stress, anger, bullying and other ranges of emotions), physical needs (exercises, and food). I do not only feel affection and enjoy the company of children but also understand how important child care activities are. I also have a year experience in daycare work and I also have Montessori school experience.
