I am currently in my third year of University studying to become a teacher with children who have special needs. I am fully bilingual (french is my first language), responsible and very caring. It is my passion to work with those who have special needs and I want to become a professional in this field. I have a lot of experience working with children who have autism and any learning disabilities. Here are some of my experiences : - Nonviolent crisis intervention, when needed (safely manage disruptive and assaultive behavior) - Assist children with any personal care (i.e.: changing diapers, changing clothes, lifting, transferring, feeding, positioning, assisting with toileting, giving medication, help with the wheelchair, etc.) and assist children who are nonverbal with their communication abilities (PECS method, hand gestures, etc.) - Assist with any other duties such as setting up the class, cleaning the class at the end of each day, cleaning the toys and the mattresses the children use, etc. - Planning outings and educational activities for the children - Daily documentation of the care, the needs and the development of the children
