Responsible, As your reliable and responsible Senior Care provider, I offer congenial companionship, and can also help with home services, home care services, meal preparation and transportation. When my Mom was declining, I helped my Dad with her care. Walking and conversation, reading aloud, outings for tea/coffee window shopping, visits to a garden center or Idlewilde Park, board and card games, and reminiscing through photo albums are all good pass times. I have worked cooking and cleaning in large elder care homes in Southern Alberta. I grew up in a society that valued and respected the history, stories and lessons our oldsters had for us. My training also includes kitchen duties in hospitals and hotels, and time spent working as a Combined Lab-X-ray Tech. While working as Commissionaire here in BC, I received training in Level 1 First Aid and CPR. I am also familiar with WHMIS, and currently hold a Class 4 BC Driving License. My family enjoyed freshwater fishing, and though not a hunter myself, I have many friends and acquaintances in this area who are. I've worked on farms for much of my younger years, and also have training in cutting meat, canning, home cooking, drying food, gardening and permaculture. I am a life-long learner, and willing to renew skills and/or learn new ones as needed. I am not interested in working with children or teens.
