I recently left the before-and-after school care program I called my second home for the past 5 years because even though I loved the middle school-age group I worked with, I am feeling ready for a change of place. I am looking for a new care opportunity that will give me time to focus on my future academic goal which involves applying for Master's in Guidance Counselling. I am a fun-loving individual, who loves to support the development of children's life skills (communication, self-regulation, stress management, empathy and problem-solving). Even though I worked primarily with middle school-age, I was often a flexible staff member who was asked to support children within various age groups. I am passionate about going outdoors whenever it is safe enough to do so, because there endless learning opportunities that can happen outside. I understand the importance of children being able to take manageable amounts of risk, with a big focus on safety being the first priority.
