Nanny in Toronto, Ontario

Hello, my name is Gracie. I am 31 years old and seeking a part-time nanny position in Toronto with a kind family. I am available part-time, 3-4 days a week. I have a BFA University degree in Acting from the University of Windsor and most recently a Diploma in Social Service Work from George Brown College. Both these areas of study speak to my love of human connection, my emotional maturity, and my skills in advocacy, empathy, and creativity. I have worked as a creative mentor and director with the Acquired Brain Injury community of Toronto, giving me skills in leadership, trauma-informed practice, disability justice and facilitation. I have ample experience supervising children since the age of 14 when I began babysitting. I have maintained communication with families whose children I've cared for because I've established lasting bonds with their children and aided in their growth as people. My mother ran a childcare business throughout my upbringing in our home so I understand the responsibilities of providing excellent care with a balance of structure, fun and creativity. I additionally have experience supporting children with Autism, giving me nuanced experience in listening, showing compassion, and meeting the needs of children navigating emotional challenges. I provide care that is engaging and immersive to ensure a stimulating learning and growing environment, simultaneously implementing a healthy, efficient daily routine. My work through Canadian Nanny began in 2018 when I supported two separate families caring for both a two year-old and an eight-year old. I am interested in supporting a family over the summer with any additional help they may need in caring for their children. I can help with trips to the park, pick up and drop off from Day camp, facilitating day trips or providing care from your home including meal prep.
