Hello all! My name's Hannah and I'm looking for part time / live out nanny work in Vancouver. I'm a full time student, currently pursuing an undergrad in modern European history at UBC. When I'm not studying, a have a wide variety of interests, including vintage clothes, Russian literature, and spending as much time outside as possible. I love kids of all ages, in my prior experience as an au pair I was lucky enough to have lots of opportunities to perfect my storytelling voices and peekaboo technique with a fantastic 17 month old, and also tackle homework assignments and elaborate science experiments with an equally excellent 5 year old. I try my best to look at life as an adventure, and therefore tend to take a pretty flexible tact to things, while balancing all the zaniness that makes life fun with enough common sense and responsibility to keep everyone safe and things rolling smoothly. Additionally, while I don't claim to be a Martha Stewart level homemaker, I'm an ambitious plant based cooking enthusiast, know my way around light housekeeping, and would be over the moon to take care of any furry family members you may have. As I mentioned, my studies are my main focus right now, and as such my school schedule is somewhat inflexible. However, I don't start classes till 11 in the morning, so for a family who's looking for someone to fill that morning-breakfast-making-last-minute-homework-wrangling-off-to-school gap, I might be a perfect option to help with the early morning chaos and get your day off to a smooth and cheerful start. Additionally, I do have pretty free (but not always static) evening and weekend availability and would love to be a familiar face for you and your family to count on on a less structured basis.
