Nanny in Nepean, Ontario

About Me: Hi! My name is Brynn. I'm searching for a casual or part-time nanny job in the Nepean area. I just completed my Bachelors of Art at Carleton University, and will be graduating this June (2025). I majored in Psycholinguistics and Communication Disorders, and took many courses relating to childhood development and language acquisition. I hope to pursue a Masters in Speech Language Pathology. I also have a great love of arts, and adore bringing that love with me when I'm working with children. I believe I have a creative and patient heart, and love getting to work with children. Services and Experience: I have experience with caring for children between the ages of 6 months - 12 years, and am also comfortable helping to care for pets as well. I'm more than happy to discuss additional responsibilities around the house, such as laundry, tidying up, dishes, meal prep, etc. I also have experience tutoring, as well as working with children with developmental differences. This past Winter I had a practicum program with Carleton, and was placed at ACT Learning Center, as well as with an SLP for the OCDSB. With ACT, I've had the opportunity to work with preschool aged children with autism spectrum disorder, as well as other developmental differences. With OCDSB, I've had opportunities to shadow an SLP, and work with children with speech and language differences, as well as help out in a Language Learning Disabilities Program and a Learning Disabilities program. In terms of specific experience, from 2019 to 2020 I spent every summer working at a summer camp called "Camp Awesome" as a counselor, and later as a senior staff member. From 2019 to 2020 I worked as a dance instructor for the City of Ottawa. I taught many dance classes, including preschool and kinder ballet, A "Just Move" class for multiple age groups, and hip-hop for ages 7-12. I also worked full time as a Nanny from June to August in 2021 for two wonderful school aged children, and helped with some schoolwork, went on walks to the park and organized many crafts and activities to fill our days with, along with meals and some pet care.
