Nice to meet you! My name is Sofia. I am a Colombian care giver in search of a loving family that wants to welcome me into their home to provide and give all my support in childcare. A bit of my experience, I was an au pair in the United States for almost 3 years, I worked with incredible families from which I learned a lot, we had fun and the best thing was working with children since it is my true passion. In my first family I took care of two children of 4 and 6 years old, in my second family I had the opportunity to meet two very beautiful babies, 2 years old and a newborn with them I was about 1 year and 8 months and finally an adorable family of a newborn. When I returned to Colombia, I did homework consultations with a wonderful 9-year-old boy. I am currently back in the USA working with a 1-year-old baby, the experience has been incredible and I would like to continue gaining more experience in Canada, I am recently moving to Canada in April 2024 with a very amazing family and eventually I will want to move and have my own place, the ideal is to find an afternoon-evening job to allow me to work with my host family as well. I have always been surrounded by children since my mother is a preschool teacher, I always helped her at work and that is where my love for this job came from. I am an animal lover, in all the families I have lived and worked with I have had the opportunity to work with my children and enjoy and play with dogs and cats at the same time. I love enjoying time in nature, going for walks, having picnics, I am a coffee lover, I love going out with friends and enjoying a good cup of coffee with background music and talking about life. I learned English by myself I feel that knowing a second language is an important part of life and thanks to this my experience in the United States was incredible, I love traveling and getting to know new places and cultures. I also really enjoy my time alone, reading a good book, watching a movie or even just meditating and giving thanks for all the beautiful things that life has given me.
