Nanny in Grand Bend, Ontario

I am a mature woman with a heart of gold. I love working with children and have done so for most of my life. I have worked for the Avon Maitland School Board as a Child and Youth Worker and Educational Assistant since 2020. I am currently on their supply list. I have many years experience in caring for children which include their basic needs to creating a rich environment of learning through play, creative arts and imagination. I have worked for companies such as Micheal’s craft store hosting crafting birthday parties to driving school bus with Murphy bus Lines. I have a diploma in Child and Youth Care Worker. I believe in life long learning and professional development. I am certified to teach the Zones of Regulation. A curriculum designed to foster self-regulation and emotional control. As a Child and Youth Worker I specialize in teaching Social Emotional Learning. I have experience with Autism, ADHD, and other neurodivergence. I build healthy professional relationships with children and their families to help understand what will help them with behaviour and development. I believe that the more you enrich a child’s life the more opportunity they will have for their future. I encourage life skills training even at a young age, tailoring it to age and ability yet still making it challenging and fun which empowers them and builds self esteem. I am a confident educator and can build exciting lessons for homeschooling and/or tutoring. ( in English only) I truly love what I do! I am also an excellent cook and have worked as a cook in a busy cafe. I don’t look at myself as a Nanny but as an educator.
