Nanny in Ottawa, Ontario

Dear Family, I am a certified Ontario elementary teacher offering childcare for Summer 2022. Currently, I am working as an ESL teacher with OCDSB. I have over 15 years of childcare experience and have previously worked as a Red Cross instructor and I have worked abroad as an ESL teacher. Over the last four years I have had the pleasure of partnering with several families with infants, toddlers and young children aged 9 months to 9 years old. I pride myself in building long term relationships with the families I work with. I have bachelor degrees in Psychology and Education. My childcare approach reflects a focus in building positive and stable interpersonal connections. I lead with child-centre interests and aim to support healthy self-esteem and a strong self efficacy. My experiences and qualifications are best suited to families looking for quality care for their toddler, or with school aged children with interests in outdoor play, reading, cooking and the arts. I speak English, I can support French families and have also picked up some vocabulary in ASL in the couple years. I will have a flexible schedule for the months of July and August. I would like offer full time care from Monday to Friday, or part time care with a family, or two. Please note I will be away on vacation August 20th-28th.
