Hello, my name is Kaytlin. I'm looking for a Nanny or Childcare placement in the Lower Mainland of British Columbia. I bring with me 10 years of experience as a Child caregiver and Nanny. I have spent a few years pursuing other careers and it is now that I realize what I truly enjoy doing and excel at is caring for Children. That means when you get me you're not just hiring someone looking for a job rather someone who actually wants to work with children and is actively pursuing a future in Childcare. What else I bring, exceptional working knowledge of kids' crafts and activities and a willingness to not just care for your children but play, explore, learn, and grow with them. I'm not the kind of Nanny who stands at the edge of the park while the children play I'm right there playing tag, or grounders, or whatever made-up game they've decided is the coolest thing this week. I'm also the person who helps them learn to respect their physical boundaries encouraging them to try to get to that next rung on the monkey bar but not to push themselves into a bad situation. Because I love to learn and have a passion for working with children, I'm also willing to research any learning specialty or parenting style you would prefer eg. doing research into Montessori or respectful parenting techniques. I believe that a child caregiver should be able to easily adapt to the preferred parenting style of the family, this stems from my own personal belief that the biggest need for children after the basics is consistency.
