Nanny in Vancouver, British Columbia

Hi everyone! I'm a 32 year old woman living in Vancouver BC and currently work in the film industry part-time. I'm looking to fill up my schedule with some part-time nanny arrangements with considerate, caring and understanding families. I have been an English/Art teacher in Asia for ten years and have also been a nanny for families here in Vancouver, BC. I come from a teaching background and enjoy helping children with; homework, developing artistic abilities, reading, meditation, writing, play, swimming and cooking food. I'm a really positive person and enjoy being around children. I'm the type of nanny who would never blame a child or make them feel guilty; I'd rather explain in a caring way what an individual may have done "wrong" to help them understand instead of pointing fingers. I'd love to work for families that will treat me with respect and who are not afraid to openly communicate their needs. I have a degree in Fine Arts from Emily Carr University of Art & Design and currently hold a valid First Aid Certificate (Level 1) for adults and children. I don't have a valid drivers license and my desired age group would be 3-18 years old. Please note, I do not feel comfortable taking care of babies, or, children under the age of 3. I'm happy to take care of a maximum of two children. If you have three and one is older, please let me know and I may consider.
