Hello there. My name is Gabbie Douglas. I recently graduated from Dalhousie University with a BA in International Development and Journalism. I am a freelance journalist, I enjoy cooking, gardening, the arts, the outdoors and learning from others experiences. I have been working with children/young adults aged 3-30 and their parents for 8 years as a swimming instructor, a counsellor, a babysitter an After School Teacher and as the Head of Swimming at the camp I worked at for 6 years. I am certified in first aid, lifeguarding and as a swimming instructor. I enjoy working with kids because they keep me on my feet and always provide an interesting (and hilarious perspective). I will be teaching swimming through a private swimming company called propel for May, June and July. The lessons are around $80 for an hour private lesson. However I am willing to negotiate price if needed.
