Hello! My name is Ciara and I am a 26 year old Social Worker from Ireland. I have been a Social Worker for five years and have a passion for caring for others. I thoroughly enjoy children's company and take great pride in helping them develop their unique personalities and skills. I have managed to strike the perfect balance between having fun with young people, as well as being strict when needed! I am located in the Little Italy area of Toronto with easy access to the TTC which makes travel to you easy. I have previously lived and worked in Australia, New Zealand and the USA and decided to travel to Canada in May 2018 to see for myself what all the hype was about! Thus far, I am loving Toronto and the diverse culture that it offers. I enjoy meeting new people and challenging myself to new experiences on a daily basis. Having previously worked with asylum seekers, in education welfare and in child protection, I am currently working in the homeless sector, and believe my caring nature and experience in working in various different sectors has resulted in me living with a strong spirit and a genuine want to care for others! I have a bubbly personality, with Irish charm, and have always connected with children on their own level. I have over ten years experience in caring for children of all ages and supporting them to become their best selves! I'm incredibly comfortable with teaching them right from wrong, creating age-appropriate activities and any light house cleaning duties that are required.
