Nanny in Pickering, Ontario

Hi there! My name is Kayla. I would love to be of help to you and your family. Let me tell you a little bit about me. Since I can remember, childcare and kids have been my biggest passion. I absolutely have fallen in love with being a caregiver and kids. It is something I can say I truly, completely and wholeheartedly love to my core. Being able to take care of them, nurturing them, entertaining them, as well as, providing and surrounding them with a positive environment. It is without a doubt the biggest passion in my life, it sincerely warms my heart to see them grow, evolve, and reach new milestones everyday. I have been a full time live in nanny to a family who had a 2 month old, as well as, a 20 month old. As well as, I then was another full time live in nanny to a family whom had a 6 month old and an 8 year old. Full time looked after 5 month old twins for a week to help out a family temporarily in that time of need. Live in full time nanny to a Newborn (from 0 months old, was there at the hospital when he was born) and a two year old. I have been an occasional babysitter to a 9 month old. As well as, part time baby sat for a family with a 4 year old, 2 year old and 8 month old. Some of my day to day duties while having these positions would include, feeding bottles, changing diapers, putting down for naps, cleaning/ housekeeping, overnight care of newborn, feeding solids, meal prep, taking on walks, tummy time, bathe, dress, homework help, play games, make crafts/ do activities, nurture them, create a bond with them, and lots more. I am the second oldest of 5 kids, so from a very young age I took on a lot of responsibility being that I had now become a big sister. However, I ended up playing a big parental role in my little siblings lives. Often my parents were not home because they had been working non stop to provide for us, so naturally I stepped up to take care of them in their absence. Since they were babies and to this day, I do everything I can to make sure they are happy, healthy, and of course taken care of. Some examples of what it looked like while I would be looking after them, starting with when they were babies, I would feed them bottles, change their diapers, put them for naps, dress them, play with them and charm them with a variety of new and exciting games, and then as they got older I would create stimulating and educational activities and games to encourage and challenge the development of their brain, showing how proud I am of them at every chance I get to build their confidence within themselves, explain and teach them new concepts and ideas, emotionally and psychologically support them and being there whenever they need me, and of course most of all, showing and giving them my unconditional love. Naturally, this responsibility at such a young age prepared me for the future. I posses a variety of different interpersonal skills, some of the main ones being, I am very patient, caring, kind, encouraging, empathetic, very positive and uplifting, well communicated and of course responsible/reliable.
