I enjoy sports, travelling, reading, watching movies, going on walks/hikes, helping others/ volunteering, baking, and trying new things. I have helped develop an organization called Grow Happy, an activity based event that is held at local elementary schools, Which we now have turned into a summer camp. We teach them how to garden & take care of plants and how the proper care helps them to be strong and healthy. We then relate it to mental health/ moods. How we need to do the same things; take care of ourselves, so we can be healthy. I have always loved working with children. I believe a child could never have too many positive influences/ support systems and I find it very rewarding to be able to be one of them. I have looked after children ages 8 months- 14 . I have a Social Service Worker Diploma, certified in Neuro Linguistic Programming and coaching. I also have completed and been certified in the Non Violent Crisis Intervention Course. I have recently been hired as an Educational Assistant for the Kawartha PIne Ridge District School Board, as supply. I have worked at a day care as an enhanced support staff and before and after school leader. As well as been a counsellor at the Peterborough Family Health Collective. I have my own vehicle as well.
