My name is Hanna. I am a former Canadian National Team Swimmer, professionally trained Chef and a graduate from UBC with a BA in Psychology. As a former athlete, much of my life continues to revolve around staying active and challenging myself with new activities as often as possible. I am an avid skier in the winter time, but when there is a lack of snow I can be found in a swimming pool or training for triathlons. I am also a private swim lesson instructor working with very young children teaching them how to swim, and adults who want to improve efficiency and technique. After finishing my university degree I went on to culinary school receiving both a culinary and pastry diploma. I have worked as a caterer for elite athletes training for the Olympics and as a pastry chef at high end restaurants. While working in pastry is fun, healthy sustainable food sits more inline with my lifestyle. I come from a family of 7 children where I am number 4. I spent many years of my life looking after my younger sisters and now the children of my older siblings. I have always enjoyed working with children and have worked for various summer camps and swim clubs.
