I follow the government recommendation for fuel charges/maintenance if I am using my own car and I issue tax receipts for my pay. I'm a certified Registered Care Aide (BC Registry #7554) and worked self employed in this field by referral for 8 years on Vancouver Island. Prior to that I worked for the Island Health Authority Home support team in a dozen different communities. This means if there is a senior in your family I can offer healthcare and homecare services to them also. I raised my 2 now adult children alone from age 29 onward they are both highly successful, good people. I worked as a Nanny for a lawyer in Calgary from 2004-200............... but I had to leave that amazing role to support my parents who both had major surgeries in the same month. That family and I stayed in touch for 15 years as friends. I returned to Alberta in March after my Mom passed away and chose Medicine Hat as my new home - I love it here!
