Nanny in Ottawa, Ontario

My name is Kayla and I have just completed my fourth year in the Queens-Trent Concurrent Education Program. Upon completion of this program, I hope to be an elementary school teacher in Ottawa. I have an abundance of experience working with children of all ages, as I have been both a camp counsellor and a soccer instructor with the City of Ottawa for the past three years. This experience has given me opportunity to learn how to effectively organize fun and safe days for children ranging between the ages of 3 and 14 years. Prior to this, I held various babysitting jobs with several families. I have had a wonderful time working with children, and I believe they have taught be a great deal about patience, responsibility and organization! In my spare time I love reading, doing crafts and spending time outside. I also play competitive soccer, so I often spend evenings at the field staying active. During the past three years I have worked as a camp counsellor with the City of Ottawa. My responsibilities for this position consisted of planning and executing a daily schedule that consisted of active games, quiet down-time and crafts, outdoor activities and meals. It was also my responsibility to ensure all children were safe, engaged and happy and respectful of one another. Prior to this, I babysat for various families in which my duties consisted of feeding the children, playing with them and putting them to bed.
