Lovely to meet you. My name is Katharine or Katie and I am a 65 year young, healthy grandma type lady. I love children because they make me feel young and watching your children grow and see their world as the magical place it is makes my heart happy. I would love to read with your children, do art and help them with their creative life. I enjoy singing with your children...singing increases your endorphins and as a classically trained singer I believe singing should be part of a child's vocabulary. I do feel tv has its place but I feel it should take last place in your child's life. I will of course honor your parenting styles and listen to your teaching. I am happy to cook frugal and clean up as part of my duties but your children must always come first, especially if they're sick. Walking in nature and playing soccer with them will help them exercise and feel natures bounty. I used to be a soccer coach for my daughters team. I have lots of energy. I choose a live in situation so that I can be available when you need me. I am a church going lady and I am taking a worldview course at the church so I expect Sunday off. If you need me on Sunday, I am happy to talk to you about that. If I miss church occasionally, that's ok. I am available Monday to Saturday inclusive. I expect you to honor my boundaries and let me know as much as you can that you need me. I am happy to work during the night if you work shifts or you need to go out of town for your work. You will let me know what your needs are. I love dogs and cats and I am a strong swimmer so I am conformable around water with the children.I have a vulnerable sector police report but it is about two years old from the school bus company and of course I am happy to update it and get a new one. I also need to update my cpr and first aid certificate which is a two day course with St. John's Ambulance. If your family has special needs you will let me know. As a wheelchair and small bus special needs school bus driver, now retired, I have worked with children of all sorts with many special needs such as autistic, delayed of all ages. I would prefer to work in the Aurora area and I can start immediately. I do not have a car currently but I can drive of course as a retired school bus driver.
